I have two grants for one of my upcoming books on the Cruzate Grants to spend time at the New Mexico State Records Center and Archives.

The Office of the State Historian and the Historical Society of New Mexico have created a New Mexico Scholar’s Program, allowing researchers to utilize the archives throughout the state.  This is particularly useful for folks like me who live far away from any of New Mexico’s archives.  The Ameritas Faculty Fellowship from my home university, Nebraska Wesleyan University, granted me a significant chunk of funds to pursue research in New Mexico.  And because I always use my research and experiences in my classes, it allowed me to also expand materials for my classes.  So yea!  My students will benefit from these two grants as well!

If you have never seen the NMSRCA, here are some images for you

  1. Congratulations. I know very little about your world, but I can imagine how important these must be for you!
